Have you helped someone today?

My day was made much more pleasant today with a private message and $5. I know $5 is really nothing much to write about, but to me, it means more than the last affiliate contest I won - much more. Some background: I am a member of a few forums. In one of them particularly, we all really try to help the other members, especially if they are struggling with some aspect of their business. There is a newer member in there who is a truly nice guy, and he’s trying very hard to make some forward progress. He has a relatively good idea for a product line he wants to work on, but his niche was too broad. We had been working on getting him to figure out how to find a more focused niche within that broader niche. He was getting it, but it was slow, and I could tell at times he was getting frustrated with himself. Let’s face it, you can only convey so much information through forum posts. I had previously created an information product that teaches how to find profitable niches, and part of that is how to find laser focused sub-niches, as well as identify the hot buyers within those sub-niches. I sent this guy a free copy of the product via private message. He said he got it and appreciated it, but it’s been a couple weeks and I hadn’t heard anything back from him. I figured maybe it wasn’t what he was looking for. In fact, by this time, I had forgotten all about it. Then, today, $5 shows up...

A Master in the Art of Living

Many people look to earning on the net, because they want to be freed from the limitations of the 9-to-5 work cycle. For some, those limitations are felt mostly by the salary or hourly wage they are paid. Others think the limitation stems primarily from the rigid schedule they have to follow. Yet others feel restricted and limited due to an overbearing supervisor. While all of those might have some merit to them, and are certainly valid if that is the reason people are compelled to be freed from that situation, another factor comes into play that people rarely think about. Do you love what you are doing? Do you absolutely love it? Does it even feel like work? If it does, that's a limitation in itself. I know many people who have made the transition from working a full-time job for someone else, to working out of their home on the Internet. Most of them actually spend many, many more hours at "work” in their online venture than they did at the J.O.B. However, if you ask them if they're working more or less than they were before, most will answer “less.” The reason? It doesn’t feel like work. It’s fun. It’s exciting. It’s something new that energizes them. It always stays interesting and fresh. Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." That is exactly what I am referring to. If you are passionate about what you do, and you love doing it, then it never feels like work. Whether you are looking to work part...

No limitations

Below is a video that really inspired me. It's a video of a one armed man playing and singing Jimi Hendrix' Voodoo Child. He is quite talented and I enjoy watching and listening to him play, but even if it's not the type or style of music you prefer, I'm confident  you will also find him inspiring. This really brings home the fact that we can do anything we put our minds to. We just need the passion and drive to get it done. There are no limitations to what we can accomplish. The only "limitations" are those that we impose on ourselves. After watching this video, go start something you've been putting off due to your own made-up self-imposed "limitations". See that they really aren't limitations, and go do it!Enjoy! I hope this inspires you as much as it inspired me!I have no idea who this person is. I just found his video online and evidently his name is Mark, but that's all the info I have. If anyone knows who he is or has any other info on him, please let me know. I would love to be able to give him recognition in this post. Please share this if you found it...
